GSP Rushfit Review: A Breakdown Of The Workouts!

Hello and welcome to my Fitness Program Review site!

We all hate over hyped crap. It drives me crazy seeing some online marketing companies selling these products that are better at taking your hard earned dollars than doing what they said they were going to do. With workout systems, it seems to be easier to get away with it, because they can just say, “You didn’t do it right.”  Who would dispute that?  So I have been reviewing workout programs to make sure that you don’t get caught up in a bad program. GSP Rushfit is one of the newest programs online, but is it legitimate?  We take you through all the workouts included in the box set, below. (To see my own review click here).

What’s Rushfit All About?

The basic strategy of GSP Rushfit seems to be that they use the intensity of the MMA-style workout program in order to produce extremely quick results.  All you need for the entire program to work is 45 minutes a day and dumbbells. George St. Pierre, the creator of Rushfit, is a well decorated MMA champion, and in these videos he basically mimics the same programs that helped him get in shape up for upcoming fights. (Ok you don’t get the 100% champion workout but then who wants to get up before dawn and karate chop a 1000 flies out of the air with a blind fold on?) The training is almost unbearably intense in the first few days for the average joe, but as the system goes forward, you start to get use to it.

Here Is A Break Down Of All The 6 Workout DVDs:

You will notice another guy in the DVDs that works with GSP. His name is Eric Owens and he is one of George’s Trainers that prepares him for his fights, so he isn’t just some nobody.

1. Strength And Endurance Workout

In this workout you will be put through a MMA style circuit training course. You have little rest inbetween in each exercise, and this level of intensity is great for burning fat.

2. Full Body Strength And Conditioning

These exercises are to push you to reach your maximum best endurance, power and performance.

3. Explosive Power Training

GSP uses exercises like these to train his exposive power, so that he devastate his opponent. Basically explosive muscles mean strong powerful ones. Below is the switch grip explosive pull up, which is one of a few exercises that requires a little more than dumbbells unfortunately which is a downside. This exercise can be learnt and then used when you go to the gym and use the pull up bar. There are pull up bars that you can buy that fit over door frames which means you can do it at home, but both of these options require a little more money to be spent obviously.

4. Abdominal Strength and Core Conditioning

To perform most other exercises well, you need a good core. Check this exercise called the Navasana. Try this one out right now, feel the burn, ahhhhh!

5. Fight Conditioning Workout

This DVD focuses on exercises and movements that you would regularly perform in a fight situation. The video below shows a exercise called the Kimura Sit Up. It is a version of a sit up that i bet most of you have never done or seen. These DVDs have really good variation. When i was doing the exercises like the Kimura, you use muscles you don’t work normally and you should know, variation in your exercises, is a catalyst for stimulating new muscle growth.

6. Balance & Agility, Stretching For Flexability

This is comprised of two DVDs. These are sold as bonuses but i think just as important as everything else here if not more so. Sorry this video is a commercial from the company website but it is the best one to show you a few examples of what this DVD is about.

The Workouts Look Hard Right! ha!

After the eighth week, I noticed that I had improved in all areas. See my own rushfit review here. I hadn’t necessarily lost weight, but I lost fat, and gained a ton of muscle. The intensity of the program was something I had to get used to, but at the end of the day, I think I made a good decision.

Why You Might Consider Rushfit

GSP Rushfit is not for everyone.  If you’re looking for a walk-in-the-park program that will take you two years to reach your goal, then Rushfit is not what you want.  In the first year of Rushfit going live, it sold over 250,000 copies so there must be some truth in the results it claims otherwise people wouldn’t keep on buying it.

Note that Rushfit only accepts orders from these countries:

United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Mexico, Norway, South Africa

thanks for putting all the examples of the dvds together. The other guy in it seems to do all of the talking and training, what’s up with that?? I thought it was a GSP workout program!?

    • Hey Zac

I mentioned this in the article, but he is one of George’s Trainers called Eric Ownens, that prepares him for his title fights in the UFC. A lot of George’s workouts are actually set by Eric Owens. He competed in MMA himself and was succesful, but turned his attention to being a trainer, after he retired from the sport.

Seems like a really comprehensive training program. I like the fact that George is the real deal!
